Applicants are responsible for soliciting the three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the Foundation by the referees. The awards will be announced by April 1, 2009.

Applicants are required to notify the Foundation immediately upon receipt of any other grant. The Foundation will permit winners of another grant for the same project from another source either to accept from that grant 1/2 the amount awarded by the Delmas Foundation or alternatively to keep the full amount of another award and accept 1/2 of the Delmas grant.

Individuals previously receiving grants through the program may apply again in accordance with the following policy. Any person who has accepted three or more Delmas grants for Venetian research (regardless of amount or timing) will be ineligible for consideration for two program years after the last grant. Thereafter, a two-year hiatus continues to be required after each subsequent grant.
